We have a basic itinerary below for you to follow, this is a wonderful fun filled adventurous program, catering for everyone, beginner to expert, tried and tested…… a great chance to do something different!!
The important thing to remember is that we want to cater for ALL FITNESS AND SKILL LEVELS!! We welcome beginners to experts in all fields of walking, trail running, mountain biking, and Stand Up Paddle boarding.
If you’re an experienced runner, biker, or adventure- racer, we have routes to suit everyone. The whole park is at our disposal with miles and miles of new trails and roads to explore! We are surrounded by magnificent desert landscapes and all the animals that live and thrive here. There is no dangerous game in the park, so all activities are done on foot or bike or paddle board, and we get to experience one of South Africa’s best parks without being confined to your vehicle!! You will be accompanied by an experienced and qualified nature guide at all times.
All routes are very do-able for beginners right through to experts. Your guide and hosts, Tony and Claudia, have 17 years’ experience in guided trips, catering for all levels. Claudia has biked here with friends recently and has a wonderful knowledge of all the fauna and flora! Tony has run the Kalahari Augrabies 250km self-sufficient marathon through the park, so can guide you from personal experience of the area! Running through the desert landscapes is simply a must do for every bucket list!
We were also very fortunate to take part in a small expedition with the infamous Jacque Marias and Zane Schmahl in 2018, scouting and testing all the fun bits for you!! We’ve tried and tested everything!!
So, if you’re a pro we simply run further, bike a little harder, and make sure you get a good workout. If you’re a beginner, we tone down all the adventures to suit you, whether you’re a 12-year-old kid or a grandad……we cater for everyone!!
The stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on the river is unique, we are THE ONLY PEOPLE ON THE PLANET allowed to do this. SUP excursions include lessons for beginners and all the techniques to take you from beginner to competent paddler in no time. We use very wide, high volume, very stable boards. Suitable for everyone regardless of your height and weight.
Tony is an experienced waterman with many years of surfing and paddling under his belt……you are accompanied by him on all paddle excursions.
All you need to is get to Upington Airport and we do the rest!!
